If you would like to become the member, please read the MEMBERSHIP POLICY (Including the return policy). We will also provide you with the membership policy at the stores.
1. MEMBERSHIP FEE is $10.00 for regular membership and $5.00 for senior citizen s (62 and over) for a 12-month period per card.
a) One additional family member, living in the same household, may obtain his/her own card at $ 2 .00 per year.
b) Membership fee is refundable for the first one month only, and the refund is limited to $5.00 at any time.
c) Replacement fee for lost card is $5.00.
d) Membership is not transferable.
e) A $25.00 fee will be charged for a returned check.
2. If you pay your membership/renewal at the checkout counter, please present your receipt to the membership desk so wecan update your record. It is your responsibility to show that you have paid your membership/renewal.
3. Damages, RETURNS, and EXCHANGES
• You will be required to pay 50% of the price of any unpurchased items unsealed or damaged by you or your family.
• Returns and Exchanges must be made within 7 days of the date of purchase and only if accompanied by the receipt. Merchandise must be unused and in the original package. Food, sanitary, health and cosmetic items , clothing, bed linens and utensils must be in unsealed original package. No Returns and Exchanges for perishable items, liquor or tobacco. For special items, restocking charges may be deducted. Marukai will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the customer in connection with the return or the exchange.
• Refunds for credit card purchases will be credited to your account by reversing the charges.
• Refunds for check purchases will be given only after your check has cleared the bank (10 days).
• No Returns and Exchanges for items purchased at Marukai stores in Hawaii.
4 . MARUKAI GIFT CERTIFICATES are available at Customer Service and can be used to purchase any item at the following Marukai stores: Marukai Gardena, Marukai Costa Mesa, Marukai Little Tokyo, Marukai Pacific Market, Marukai Torrance, Marukai West Covina, Marukai 98, Super M store, Marukai San Diego Plaza and Marukai Hawaii.
5. Children. Parents must keep their children under 12 with them at all times. Marukai provides special shopping cartswith seat belts for small children. Never allow children to stand in the cart. Marukai assumes no liability for improper use of carts or resulting accidents.
6. Restrictions: No drinking or eating allowed in the store except in designated areas. No pets, except permitted guide dogs, are allowed in the store and in the food court area. No open alcoholic beverages. If you are going to walk your pet in the parking area, please pick up their litter. No bare feet. Shirts or tops must be worn. No roller skates, roller blades, or skate boards on Marukai premises.
7 . theft and Damages. Please lock your car and guard your personal belongings and groceries. Marukai is not responsible for your lost or stolen items while on Marukai premises.
8. Marukai reserved the right to refuse entry to Marukai premises and to refuse or withdraw membership.
9. MARUKAI FLYER. If you are not getting the flyers, please contact the Membership Desk. We are not responsible for any late delivery by postal service. Please inform our Membership Desk of any change in your address (ASAP).
10 . STORE HOURS, LOCATION & PHONE NUMBERS: Please check your Marukai flyer.
11. PRIVACY POLICY: Marukai may store and use the information submitted by you in the membership application (“Your Information”) in connection with the general promotion, marketing, and advertising activities related to the products and services that Marukai sells from time to time, as well as for purposes ancillary to such promotion, marketing and advertising activities and in connection with any other lawful activity that Marukai, directly or indirectly, engages in from time to time, whether by itself or through third parties. Further, you understand and agree that Marukai has the unrestricted right to use such data for any and all lawful purposes. Marukai may also share Your Information with third parties that Marukai believes may be able to provide you with valuable product and service offers, based on Your Information. In addition to the foregoing circumstances, Your Information may be shared with employees, agents, and independent contractors of Marukai and/or with other third parties with whom Marukai does business from time to time, including customer support specialists, Web hosting companies, fulfillment companies, and data analysis firms, in connection with services that these individuals or entities perform for Marukai, for themselves or for any other lawful purpose.
You may at any time tell us that you no longer want Marukai to share Your Information with third parties.
12. AMENDMENTS. Marukai reserves the right to amend its Rules and Regulations from time to time with notice to its members. |
